Dormaa West MP Vincent Oppong Asamoah Speaks on DCE Appointments, Employment, and Budge

Hon. Vincent Oppong Yaw Asamoah, Member of Parliament for Dormaa West in the Bono Region of Ghana, has emphasized the importance of following traditional protocols in District Chief Executive (DCE) appointments. Speaking at his constituency engagement, Asamoah likened the selection process to royal succession, where only those of royal lineage are eligible to ascend to the throne .
Asamoah also addressed the termination of appointments, stating that these decisions were made due to non-compliance with established procedures. He urged Ghanaians to be patient, as the government is yet to present its budget, and requested that they spare the administration its "honeymoon time."
The MP also had a message for the youth, encouraging them to remain calm and assuring them that their time for employment will come. Hon Vincent Oppong Yaw Asamoah pledged that all promises made will be honored before 2028.
Asamoah's statement highlights the government's commitment to upholding traditional values and protocols in its decision-making processes. It also underscores the importance of patience and understanding as the administration works to address the nation's challenges.
As a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Asamoah's words carry significant weight in Ghanaian politics . His constituency, Dormaa West, is one of the 12 seats in the Bono Region, which is currently dominated by the NDC .
