Ghanaian youth have been advised to abstain from drug addiction and maintain discipline to aid in constructing a brighter future for themselves.

 *Ghanaian youths Urged to be disciplined and desist from drug abuse ahead of the Easter*


Hon. Drissa Outtara aka (Anku or Kwasi Kaakyire Nkrumah) , the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Dormaa Central, in a media engagement to extend a goodwill message to Christians as the Easter celebration approaches, expressed his hope that all Christians would embody the teachings of the death and resurrection of Jesus, as Easter signifies.



He implored parents and society to unite in efforts to rescue the youth from indulging in hard drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, and opioids, which have been adversely affecting these young individuals. He attributed the increasing incidences of indiscipline and waywardness among the youth to inadequate parental guidance, fractured homes, and other factors, urging public stakeholders and relevant entities to support those who are 


Honorable Drissa Outtara conveyed concern about the challenges of life and pervasive poverty, which have hindered many parents from adequately caring for their children. Consequently, these youths face hardships that drive them towards substance abuse as a means to alleviate the stress and anxiety imposed by life's trials.


He advised the vulnerable youths to refrain from resorting to hard drugs as a method to alleviate their hardships, emphasizing that potent substances like tramadol and other opioids do not serve as remedies for life's adversities

Honorable Drissa Outtara expressed apprehensions regarding the prevailing surge in indiscipline among students and the youth. 


He urged educators and pertinent stakeholders to initiate the instillation of discipline within schoolchildren, aiming to cultivate a generation of disciplined youth poised to manage the nation's affairs in the future
