Dormaa Central MCE Appeals for Support to Complete Amasu Agenda 111 Hospital
Amasu, Dormaa Central – July 16, 2025 –
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Dormaa Central, Hon. Dominic, has made a passionate appeal to the Government of Ghana, the Dormaa Traditional Council, led by the Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, and all well-meaning individuals to help complete the Agenda 111 hospital project situated in Amasu.
The facility, which forms part of the government’s nationwide initiative to boost healthcare infrastructure, was initiated under the previous administration. According to Hon. Dominic, the hospital project has reached a commendable stage of development but remains incomplete due to delays in funding and logistical support.

“The people of Amasu, Aboabo, and the surrounding communities have waited long enough. This hospital, when completed, will drastically improve access to quality healthcare in the enclave,” the MCE stated during a visit to the project site.
He emphasized the critical role traditional leaders, especially the Dormaahene, can play in mobilizing resources and advocating for the swift completion of the facility.
The MCE also called on philanthropic individuals and corporate entities to support the cause, stressing that the project is not just a government agenda but a lifeline for rural dwellers who currently travel long distances to access medical care.

The Agenda 111 project, launched in 2021, aims to construct 111 district hospitals across the country to bridge the healthcare infrastructure gap. However, progress has varied from district to district, with some projects facing stalled timelines.
Residents in Amasu and nearby towns have expressed hope that with renewed attention and community support, their dream of a fully functional hospital will soon become a reality.
